Andy spent 8 years on the British Alpine Ski team, 6 years racing on the World Cup Circuit alongside the Bell brothers. He represented his country in Sestriere’97 and Vail’99 at the World Championships and Nagano Olympics in 1998.
He is a 3 times British champion (1997, 1998,1999) in Downhill and Super G.
He spent 5 years as an opener for the euro test, setting the standard for all ski instructors in Europe and he represented BASI as a demo team skier at two Interski Instructor Congresses, delivering workshops and showing the British teaching method to instructors from all over the world.
Andy also coaches ski instructors for BASI* specialising in the technical courses and he is the examiner for the highest level exam in the BASI system.
In summer Andy lives near Aviemore with his wife and three kids, teaching young instructors for the Royal Yachting Association (in windsurfing, sailing and power-boating). He is also a coxswain for the local lifeboat.
In winter Andy and his family move to the Alps where he works with private clients in Austria, Switzerland and France.
